Chandana loved to draw and paint from a very young age following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother. She was fascinated towards various folk art from across India. It gives her immense pleasure in creating an art form that is being forgotten and losing its luster. This passion helped her a lot in her personal as well as in her professional life
Her work received several awards and was on display in several art shows and galleries. She started to learn fusion and abstract art albeit with a touch of her Folk Art instinct. Her goal is to spread this art form within the communities and to the global population.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT My curiosity towards colors and patterns began when I saw my mother use natural materials to create beautiful artwork. My work expresses native folk Art from different parts of India. It showcases nature intertwined with humans. My work mostly depicts people, birds, animals, nature, and way of life. Most of my art showcases intricate patterns, bright and vibrant colors. I work on seven different forms of Folk Art from across India.
